Watch our multi-talented woodwinds, guitar, and piano tutor, Nathan, tell you all about woodwinds at DeBase. Nathan, having grown up in a musical family, began showing interest in music at the age of 5. Over the next 20 years, he explored a variety of instruments including guitar, bass guitar, clarinet, saxophone, bass clarinet, piano, and drums among others. Nathan spends most of his time performing live and in studios or teaching, having already obtained a diploma in contemporary music and numerous Trinity College qualifications. Nathan creates a warm and welcoming classroom environment suited for students of all ages.

They have had many successful performances and examinations in their music career, having obtained both an Associate of Trinity College London piano performance diploma with Distinction and a Bachelor's degree in Music. Eden fosters a creative learning environment suitable for students of all ages to grow their musical skills.

Bill is a solo artist and a member of the band Kiwi Chameleon (with our vocal tutor Sarah), as the guitarist, instrumentalist, and composer. Bill creates a comfortable classroom environment suited for students of all ages. Sarah, having gained a diploma in music, is an experienced performer and teacher who is currently pursuing further education in music therapy. Sarah has been performing for most of her life from high bands, musicals, and choirs to her own band Kiwi Chameleon. Sarah creates a warm and welcoming classroom environment suited for students of all ages. When she is not teaching or performing, she is writing and recording her own music and is planning to release a solo record near the end of the year. Watch one of our piano tutors, Gracie, tell you all about beginner piano DeBase Music Centre. Gracie is currently studying composition at the University of Auckland having previously obtained multiple ABRSM qualifications. Not only does she play the piano, her primary instrument is the harp! Gracie also specialises in piano accompaniment for vocalists and instrumentalists. Gracie creates a warm and welcoming classroom environment suited for students of all ages.
Cara, one of our drum and guitar tutors, is a multi-instrumentalist and producer,is a multi-instrumentalist and music producer. Carawei was a driving force in the powerful femme-fronted rock band Venom Dolls until the group disbanded in 2022. In 2022-2023 she joined girl punk band, "Cootie Cuties” as their drummer and recording engineer. She now plays as a session drummer in many projects. Cara creates a comfortable classroom environment suited for students of all ages and has a very adaptive and flexible teaching style.
Ella, one of our vocal, speech and drama tutors, specialises in musical theatre having obtained a Bachelor of Performing Arts from the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art. Alongside teaching, Ella is a regular performer. Notably, she was an actor in a 6 month theatre tour across Australia and New Zealand with New Zealand Playhouse. Ella creates a warm and welcoming classroom environment suited for students of all ages.
